@resh for setting the probe offsets, see https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Connecting_hardware/Z_probe_testing#calibrate-the-z-probe-trigger-height

Tool fan and part fan are the same thing. The white fan is your heat sink fan.

Even if the heat sink fan wasn't working great you'd likely get stringing or clogging but not weird temp excursions like that.

After renaming config.g please send M98 P"config.g" again.
Also send M122 and report the results of that.

@phaedrux There's no damage to the chips or surrounding area.

Got it used off ebay. I'll send it back.

      I appreciate the help.

They should stay in sync fairly well I think, but after a while you may notice some drift.

@resh said in Can't figure out axis limits with dual Z bed leveling:

Thanks guys, I got this working. Should I create a separate macro for this or just run it every time I do a home all? Also, I've seen a youtube video where it does the same probes twice (very fast) before it makes adjustments. Is this necessary?

I home my Z axis using endstop sensors.

I use the Z probe for setting the Z=0 datum, leveling the bed and creating the mesh compensation height maps.

I run the bed leveling procedure at the start of a print.

Check the A and S parameters of the M558 command for how to do multiple probing to improve accuracy.

@resh here is some mre information baout the ferrules we supply:https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Connector_and_spare_part_numbers#Section_Ferrules

Thank you for that. I never realized that they were color coded. I've always just used the smallest size that the stripped wire would fit into.

      M308 S0 P"bedtemp" Y"thermistor" T100000 B4725 ; configure sensor 0 as thermistor on pin bedtemp

this is missing the c parameter for the semitec 104gt2

      M308 S1 P"e0temp" Y"thermistor" T100000 B4138 ; configure sensor 1 as thermistor on pin e0temp

this is the default and the incorrect value.

for reference use the config tool. click on the beta value and a selection menu comes up.

Yes you can add mesh compensation whenever or if you want. It's useful to at least create a map just to visualize the surface of the bed. If it's flat enough you need not use it.

@resh said in Duet 2 wifi - Can't connect via USB:

Not sure what I did but I finally got this thing connected and running via DWC. I'd say it had to do with the USB 3.0 or probably if I had a powered hub like others have mentioned.

Glad to hear you got it sorted.

As you have found out the power available from USB ports varies greatly.
