RE: Alternative to Haydn's
I bought the Haydn Huntley delrin and magnets...and I made my own lenght arms...I buy 6mm carbon fiber tube...I made my own caps for the carbon fiber tubes...i print them on petg and then machined on lathe to final shape and dimensions.. using this on my 2 anycubic kossel linear plus...I spent 78$ for parts from Haydn + 24$ shipping fee and another 40$ on customs import fees, and 20$ on carbon fiber rods.. total 162$ ...custom lenght is 115$ each kit + 24$ shipping + custom taxes!. .for having all the rods same lenght I made a jig from a solid piece of aluminium machined on a mill with a shape of a big U where on each side I cut slots for m3 screws and I fix in place 10mm diameter steel balls with m4 holes in that I buy from aliexpress for this purpose...then the rods are glued on one side with epoxy glue and let them set for 48h...then I put them into the jig and glue the other side of the arm, this way I achieved the same size of all 6 arms.. I made 2 sets of these arms...in total 12arms to install on my anycubic kossel linear plus!some photos of the caps and the arms

RE: Fly-super8 driver extension with BTT EXP-Mot V1.0
@jtimon as I know the only boards that uses CAN-FD compatible with duet boards are skr 3, skr 3 ez and fly super 8, I might be wrong but Jay know for sure!

RE: Drives assigned as extruders don't work
@DoxfordC nozzle need to have a certain temperature for the extruder motor start moving...does you preheat your nozzle when you try to move the extruder?

RE: Orbiter 2 extruder mounting for Smart effector with Magball arms
@PCR yes...of course...I uploaded them to my thingiverse, just click on the signature and you go directly to my thingiverse page!

RE: Duet 3, 4 Z stepper motors or of Duet 2 with expansion board?
Assuming you are using 1 extruder, you will need 7 drivers to drive x, y, 4×z and e motors...even if you buy duet 3 you only have 6 drivers onboard...in case you buy duet2 and duetx expansion choose the x5.. the price difference is so low...and maybe in future you want more extruders and you are set with duetx5 instead duetx2

RE: Is the PanelDue display my only option?
@GeorgeM on the btt tft you need to match the 57600 baud rate as well...if not wont work!

RE: Running 3.5 inch TFT for paneldue. Possible?
Maybe this can help you out:all my printers are with duet2 wifi, and upon building a printer for a friend with the hardware that he already had included a skr 1.3 and tmc2208 deivers, i came across reprap firmware for lpc boards and so i installed that port of reprap firmware to skr 1.3, and all and all was perfect.. my friend also has a btt tft32 that wanted to have it instaled(after i told him that with reprap firmware you dont need an lcd he still decided to have lcd)
So i installed the lcd to the skr1.3 board and in the config.g file i specified raw mode and i was suprise to see it working...i can do all things from lcd as it was under marlin firmware...nevertheless i have as well an mks 32tft lcd and tryed that lcd and again all working just fine... -
RE: Crimp Tool Engineer PA21 for Duet 3 IO_n ?
5 pin Io.n connectors are Molex KK while 4 pin stepper motor connectors are JST VH
For Molex KK i use engineer PA-09 and engineer PA-20 with great result...I have both crimpers thoug lately i only use PA-20 as i dont remeber where PA-09 is...for the JST VH connectors recommendations is the use of engineer PA-21 with the 2.2 side of jaws for the bare wire side and 2.5 for the insulation side of the wire -
RE: Duet 3 6HC input voltage and psu selection!
@fcwilt yup that why I asked...seams the 27v will be the right choice getting it up to 31.5v...320watt is sufficient for my cnc...I only power the motors...no heaters, no other thing that need power...maybe a fan to cool the board...though tmc5160 used at 2.2 amp on each motor don't even get worm

RE: Preview version of CNC optimized DWC.
Awsome...it's time to grab a duet 3 board for my cnc then

RE: How to connect two 24V PSUs?
@o_lampe for a dc heatbed I would probably go for a external mosfet...this way you have a dedicated psu for your heatbed and a seccond psu for everything else...in any case I use alot this type of mosfet powering the heatbed just because is cheap ro buy 2 psu with lower watts(24v 350w) than to buy a bigger psu(24v 600/700w to meet all the power drain requirements)

RE: Preview version of CNC optimized DWC.
@chimaeragh did you put it in cnc mode...if not will show the 3d printer interface!

RE: I think I may have destroyed my Duet 3 6HC
@ben-0 cheap psu might not have 12v on output...did you tried to see with a multimeter if the cheap 12v psu actually have 12v output? If it have less than 12v it may power the board but when you try to move motor won't work...test it and get back with info!I recon the voltage requirements are 12-32v for 6HC board!

RE: Preview version of CNC optimized DWC.
@sindarius yes...it might shown the error because what I think is I'm still on the 3.2 firmware...not 100% sure...I'm at work now...in few hours when I get home I'll have time for testing again!

RE: I think I may have destroyed my Duet 3 6HC
@ben-0 so the issue was solved right? The cheap psu didn't output 12v as expected...you may want to put "solved" on the thread title...glad you sorted out!
