The Duet2 has no USB host interface.

Would it be possible for them to run the Duet 2 in wifi access point mode where the Duet creates an isolated network SSID that a computer could connect to?

@jay_s_uk I suppose they may be sending M552 s0 or M552 s-1 and causing the WiFi to disconnect?

@thetazzbot I'd try connecting to the Duet via USB and running M122 and M552 to see what is happening with the WiFi. I suppose another possibility is that the BTT display is generating interference that is causing the WiFi to disconnect, but who knows. The USB connection should give you a better idea of what is going on.

Because whatever length cable we included would be either too short or too long in most cases.

For those in the UK and some other countries we suggest "High speed ADSL/VDSL" cables such as the high speed one here https://www.kenable.co.uk/en/107-adsl-rj11-cables (the high speed ones are twisted pair, the others are not). For short distances, flat RJ11 cables can be used, but they must be straight through not crossed. See https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Machine_configuration/CAN_connection#cables.

I'm guessing you are in the US. A search on amazon.com for "rj11 cable" returned some cables that look suitable.

i think this is wrong unless you have a better source for that.
Using the config tool and a trying to keep it simple by using a pair of temps (25 and 240) I get T100000 B4219 I think adding 3 readings can confuse things somewhat.

I think the confusion comes from you naming the heatsink fan "Tool Fan".
In DWC there is a universal slider called "Tool Fan" that is used to control the part cooling fan of whatever tool is currently selected. This is useful in multitool printers.

So the "Tool Fan" slider in DWC actually controls your "Part Fan" as does the "Part Fan" slider.

Yes, pronterface changes all characters to uppercase, which makes it unsuitable for case sensitive SSID/password.

If you must use pronterface, you can create a macro file that contains the M587 command to add the network and place that on the SD card in the sys folder, then send an M98 command to execute that macro.

Or if on windows, try YAT.

@t3p3tony Yeah I unwired everything and changed the fuse I only had a 10a, ok for testing but I will buy 7.5a before reassembly. Thanks.
