@dc42 Wanted to check on this also. Since you're looking into the filament sensor code, would it be possible to add an additional S parameter to M591 to monitor filament movement during all filament moves?

I finally got the macro working with following code:

I changed and tested several different thing, but i think the trick that did it was removing the empty line between the end of the "If" block and the start of the "else" block.

Presumably your usage case does not require a shutdown or other more definite action in the event of a heater fault or you will have set the firmware to take such action above a certain threshold.

You could monitor a heater or sensor in daemon.g and use something like the following.
You have to create the file and put it in /sys
Note, this hasn't been checked for correct syntax etc.
It's just a general guide.

EDIT: Also you have to consider that this would resume any paused print if the temp was under the set value, regardless of why it was paused! You have to figure out how to differentiate the reason it was paused. Until we get variables that's a bit harder. You could maybe set a dummy fan value or something.

If the sensor produces an analog output that you can scale or limit to 0-3.3V then you can use the LinearAnalog type of sensor in RRF. You could use the daemon.g file to read the sensor periodically, calculate the correction needed and use the M220 command to change the feed rate multiplier. Please note, M220 doesn't affect moves already in the queue, so it may take up to 2 seconds + 1 move before changes in M220 take effect.

Might be best to mark thread as solved.

It's a simple manual bed leveling macro.
So far I have 3 macros level test1 to 3.
first 1 homes Z then G30 S-1 at that X Y location then moves X Y to right side of bed and does G30 S-1 prompts for OK or Cancel. If result of G30 S-1 matched the result of probe position 1 then I cancel else I adjust the bed screw at that point then hit OK, which repeats G30 S-1 in the same X Y position.

2nd Macro doesn't probe position 1 since I now know the result from previous probing., it moves X Y to the 3rd probe position and then G30 S-1.
I repeat the above as needed calling macro's 1 through 3.
Based on the outcome of a G32 bed level test, I could run 1 or more of the macros again.
The X Y locations match the outer 4 points that G32 probes.

If that makes sence..

Ok, that's interesting about the uptime. I realise my solution would have to wait for variables.

I also just discovered that I can use the M291 command to periodically check with the user if they want to continue. It's a useful workround for now.

As I mentioned conditionals are not my forte.

I eventually got it working and am pleased with what it does.
I include it for anyone else, even the original above by @mwolter would work but tweaked what I knew I could tweak, namely I used 4 screw locations instead of 3.

This is for a RailCore II CoreXY with 3 Z motors but could probably be applied to anything else.

This will result in a dialog on the web console:

Pressing OK will result in the rest of the macro (G28 and so forth) running; pressing cancel will end the macro immediately.

Test this; when ready to have it start every time, place

M98 P'StartStuff.g"

as the last line of config.g

p.s. No conditional gcode per se; this works right now, in all 2.recent and 3.recent versions of firmware, with or without a Pi.

Yes i think it'll be easy to get around, i just search ease x) but with your suggestion, i think it'll will be easy to do a bit of meta to ask which type of filament you are loading one by one 🙂
