However, I ordered the PT100 from Filastruder and did not realize that the complete kit has an amplifier board in it instead of the RTD daughterboard. I have placed a new order with Filastruder, but it is also not obvious how to do that. I had to order "Other part" quantity = 30… Too bad it is unlikely to be here before the weekend.

I like that the panel due has a bit of weight to it, which along with the visual appearance suggests a bit of quality.

And I really like the genuine plugs/pins that are supplied with it, as this makes retrofitting this panel to an existing printer quite straight forward.

A connector kit will be included with all production Duet WiFi boards.

For what it's worth, I built my Kossel 250 with OSM 7HM19-2004S 0.9 deg steppers.

You can get 3 of them shipped UPS from California for about $54. While I await my Duet Wifi they've been working perfectly at 1 amp with DRV8825 drivers forced into fast decay mode using pretty aggressive acceleration settings with Smoothieware. Warm to the touch and no missed steps.

My delta uses the same motor with a different winding, the 17HM19-1684S which is rated at 1.68A rather than 2A. I chose that one because it is a good match for the Duet 0.8.5. For the Duet WiFi, the -2004S is an even better match and should maintain torque up to higher speeds.

We sent all the prototypes out bar a couple so we will have to wait until we have fulfilled the pre-orders and have some spare boards to test with.

Given a robust WIFI access point (most modern ones) you can easily support 10s of devices simultaneously, The limitation is likely to be at the AP end rather than the ESP on the board. Issues such as interference from other wifi networks (mentioned as an issue for wifi in general) may also impact the maximum number, so it may end up being specific to your situation.

As we have had a delay due to PCB manufacturer issues we have decided to extend the pre-order to 23 Aug when we now expect to be shipping the boards.

The only question I might have relates to your note:

What's involved with this? Does it have to do with the expansion board identification stuff I mentioned/suggested in another thread?

Actually I have Quite extensive experience with the Duet system in General certainly enough to be able to compare them like for like.

I have made several Prints with it to just know it is a Winner all way's round.

The improvements have just made the thing more usable (not that the 0.6 or 0.8.5 weren't).

The addition of the RTD Boards to allow use of PT100 Sensors or Thermocouples just take it to a new level. It is very fast and responsive and the Driver's when running in 16 microstepping mode with 256 interpolation makes them just super quiet

Thanks for letting me know, I have tried a PT100 board with batch 2 and it lets me get to the confirmation page.

I will monitor this and see if anyone else has an issue.
