So I located a FTP client and it worked fine connecting to the Duet and opening the 0 byte files.

So the problem is in my editor's FTP capability.

I have two 6HC boards with the WiFi module (one on the bench, one in a printer).

I have four Mini 5+ boards (two on the bench, two in printers).

For WiFi Access Points I have Ubiquiti U6 PRO and EnGenius EAP1300.

The Ubiquiti are recent units and are still being sold. The EnGenius is an older unit, no longer sold, but it was always reliable. I can get other APs if that becomes necessary.

I had a bit of time so I setup a Mini 5+ on my bench - updated to 3.5.4.

It has no other hardware - just a minimal config.g.

I also include creating all of the global variables I normal use to see if that was part of the problem.

So far it is staying connected without issues.

It doesn't need to be {null} if you are not interested in the value, you can use e.g. 0 instead. The point it that a value of some type must be provided.
