Im pretty sure non of the corners is dropped - But even if one corner is lower, shouldent the whole system stay "parallel"?

Im wondering if the M561 in my HomeZ.g have anything with the offset to do?

      I don't believe so.

Level is the average of the 3 points that you are probing.

Flatness is what mesh bed leveling is trying to improve.

If your motion system is not parallel to the level plane, then nothing you can do to fix it. Imagine if you have sag in your gantry, you will have a hollow that the controller will try to fox by filling it in wich makes the problem worse.

Not knowing your machine or machanics, I am imagining rods with holders, try loosening and then retightneing the rod holders, or if you can, loosen and them shim them 'down' with a shim of known thickness just to see what the effect is. Even the thickness of a piece of paper will show you clear results.

@dc42 said in incompatible firmware v on duet3?:

Your best options are to upgrade the main firmware using Bossa, or to run the Duet in standalone mode with a USB connection and install the latest firmware from the SD card. Upgrading to 3.0 first isn't essential on the Duet 3.

What would you reccomend to upgrade to then?

3.1.1 to bring it into line with the version of DSF on your Pi.

Finally to the point where im satisfied.

Biggeste change was changing to BL touch - After I got my hands on an thermal/IR camera, I could see that the bed was like a mirror for the camera, so that's why the IR probe didn't work good enough

So I tried the suggestions: first an Inside-out with increased speed:
      2_1542123045862_IMG_1012.JPG
then one with outside in with increased speed
      1_1542123045862_IMG_1014.JPG
at last, outside in with Z-hop off
      0_1542123045861_IMG_1015.JPG

      Looks the same to me.

@dc42 Yes I'm aware of the Van de Graff issues with belts - can cause all sorts of problems with model helicopters I believe because the tail rotor is often driven by a continuous belt and the resultant static plays havoc with the receiver. Also anti-static belts are often used in conveyor systems.

But I wonder if it's an issue with printers because generally the belts constantly change direction back and forth rather than always rotate in the same direction. It's an awfully long time since since schoolboy physics but if one reverses the direction of a Van de Graff generator, doesn't that reverse the polarity of the charge?

@martin1454 said in Gcode macro - Get parameter (fan rpm):

Is there any way to get what the current "fan speed" is for an output...

Yes, send M106 with just a P parameter to specify the fan,

...and use that value to subtract 25 and write to m106?

      Not yet.
