Yes that works. So I'll make the request for multi-line.

Any views on the object model enquiry?

@St-Taw @chrishamm I managed to replicate this error. Setting the Z Probe to BLTouch on the Endstops page causes it! If you change it back to any other Z Probe, H3 appears. I guess BLTouch defaults to H3/PWM1, so hides it as an option on the tools page? Even though it's not sharing a heater with the PWM output set on the I/O Mapping page.

@st-taw said in Z Height map loading:

So just to be clear in my mind. In start.g do I move the Z probe to the location as it learnt Z in bed.g above and then load the height map?

I', not clear in my mind what you mean either. 😜

At the start of a print, you should do some form of the following order of operations

Home all axis however you like have at least 1 G30 probe at bed center to set Z0 run G29 routine, or load a saved heightmap.

@fma Well all the stranded wires have ferrules. All connectors have terminals crimped with proper tool. Using twisted pairs to avoid crosstalk. Mains spades have extra blanking covers. But I agree at present it looks a bit criss-cross !

@st-taw said in M109 command does not run tool change macro's:

On a similar note I have
M0 in the Cancel.g which also deselects the tool without running the tfree?.g macro. I have resolved this by putting a T-1 before it.

I will investigate this. Note, you can define what M0 does by creating a stop.g file.

Is there any documentation which describes which commands select and deselect tools without running there respective free, pre and post macro's?

The intention is that the tool change macros are always run, unless one of the following is true:

One or more axes are flagged as not having been homed; You use the T command with a P parameter to specify that you do not want some of the tool change files to be run.

In any other situation, not running tool change files on a tool change is a bug.

The documentation for M109 says if the T command is used the tool is selected (slic3r behaviour). By implication although not explicitly stated I would expect the pre and post macros to be run.
      So is the a bug?

Also when I cancel a print no macros are not run to deselect the tool and yet the status is then no tools selected.

      I have in cancel.g
      M0
      T-1
And yet the macros are not run.

So it appears to be best case 8mA source for logic 1 and 15mA sink for logic 0.

      Thanks for reply.

Well I tried it and it appears to have worked without problems and was simplicity itself.

      Now showing...

Firmware Name: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet
Firmware Electronics: Duet WiFi 1.02 or later + DueX5
      Firmware Version: 2.02(RTOS) (2018-12-24b1)
      WiFi Server Version: 1.22
      Web Interface Version: 1.22.6

I think my problem was that the 'Firmware overview' pages and 'Installing and Updating Firmware' pages describe many variants and what could go wrong. It clouds the issue but I understand that caution is needed for older versions etc.

Still designing and building my printer...

H7 heater output is on the 10-way terminal block next to the VIN terminal block. It's labelled E6 on the PCB.
