Yes, this is exactly what i want to do and kind of what i figured was going on once i started setting my chamber temperature to 30C instead of 40C.

How do you set the chamber temperature currently?

@Imlbrown depending on your controller hardware, M669 S1000 may be too high. A hint whether it's too high is to make some complex moves (e.g.. G2, G3 arcs *) ), then call M122 and look whether hiccups are reported, which are lost steps.

*) but long G1 moves are also complex with your kinematics, because rotational actuators behave nonlinear

@zapta For those who may be curious how this turned out, I was not able to discern what type of component I needed to replace. I did the manual check
for zener diodes and that test did not show a zener diode. The T7 tester I bought for this is also confused. It has shown IGBT, PD mos, dual diodes and cross connected diodes. It's not consistent at all with this one component. I asked a person I know that use to repair tv's and he said it could be a custom part made just for that company. This might explain why the markings don't
show up anywhere. Anyway, I found my receipt and the company replaced the faulty unit. Thanks to everyone that chimed in, I promise not to burden the forum with this sort of thing in the future.

@Tricep-terry No, there aren't any other 5V PWM pins on the Mini 5+.

However, if you have a spare fan or heater output, you can use the MOSFET (which are on the ground side) to control a 5V input and make it a PWM signal, with the addition of a 1kohm pullup resistor. See https://forum.duet3d.com/post/118283 (thanks again @DIY-O-Sphere )
This is used to control a servo, but it can be used for any PWM output.

I would really like to integrate it into my E3D ToolChanger setup

I have a macro that runs when I start the printer to do some startup tasks - heat the bed, home the printer, level the bed, generate the mesh. To deal with the issue of having the printer start moving on its own, I post a blocking M291 message to the user asking if they want to start the process. The need to give the OK.

@ander with the steep rise at the beginning, then flattening out, along with the inconsistent heating cycles (they get quicker as time progresses), I’d say your thermistor is still too closely coupled to your heater, and as before, it’s going to be difficult to get a reliable tune.

I know some users have drilled a hole in the edge of their heated bed, and installed the thermistor there.

@infiniteloop we’ll discuss- not against it at all but would want to spend a bit more time on the design and then have a few made for verification before posting based on the initial batch we received. We have a lot going on at the moment but will revisit soon!

The support base (tile), rests on a support structure. On it is glued a layer of Mica. Then, simply resting on top of each other, are the heater with the aluminum plate, and on top I will mount a 4 mm glass plate with Buildtak.
The silicone pad at the moment I set it on the plate with the thermal paste that is used for processors, hoping it will do the trick. I don't have silicone at the moment.

I've seen the kenovo before, but they don't have the size I need. I will have to contact them directly.

Centering of the aluminum plate and glass is done by 4 plastic angles tightened together with a steel cable equipped with a spring. Nothing fancy. The plate does not move anyway-in my case it is fixed.
