Thank you for the quick reply. We applied the parameter and will see how it works in an longtime test.. Since the room temperature can only been held to the desired value whie the bed heater is running in some cases the value will not be reached.

Are you looking for a whole new printer?

A Y homing approach is becoming more clear as I get feedback.
Bought the FT5 used. Aligned all axes and mechanically tuned the whole thing. Very little slop and has printed a lot of small parts...approx 1x50mm size with detail...0.25 nozzle, 0.1 layers. So I think everything is pretty tight.
Really want to get Duet going and get back to printing.
So...I'll try this approach...use separate drivers on each Y stepper. Set up two microswitch endstops in series.
Home both the driver-paired Y steppers together (no separate U) at low speed, low current. Each side will have to reach the hard stop to trigger both series stops and set home on each side (305mm in this case). With little slop, both sides should reach their respective stops practically simultaneously. Any slight misalignment would be corrected per the hard endstops.
Stops seem to be very repeatable to 0.1mm activations.
I'll take a shot at new G-code for this.

It's the latter. They do require source and destination file names.
I have no idea if it would even work to move the file this command is inside. 🤔 Will test that after my current print is finished. 😉 Probably it will move the file but it might be that none of the following commands will be executed after moving.

EDIT: I tested to move the file that was containing the M471 command and it actually continued to execute. Though I have no idea how much of the data was already buffered and if it would have needed to be a lot longer to see any issues.
Still, I don't think it is a good idea to move the currently executing file. It might work or it might fail.

I thought that might the case. I started using SAM-BA at first because I was already using it. However, I actually just investigated the BOSSAC method which is easily integrated into the IDE I'm using and it's made the development process much more bearable. Thank you 🙂

I found a mistake. It was in the wrong pin step for the second driver Y.
I fixed it and it all worked.
Config as was and remained.

To me it looks like M702 completes before it is actually finished, so M701 is called out-of-order which generates this message. We will investigate why this is happening.
