@Phaedrux said in Magnetic sensor errors - long print:

      M122

      Of course.

Now I have changed the sensor and start printing for 22 hours.

The printer has a 1mm nozzle, so a lot of plastic goes through the sensor. This print is for 2 kg.

@Phaedrux The brake is permanent. That is, if there is no power on the solenoid, then the brake is on.

When power is applied, the brake is released. The power supply is 24 volts, the same as on the motherboard.

All I need to do is turn on the power before the Z motors turn on. Is there such a possibility?

If not then I use the M42 command inside homez.g

But if there is such a function, then I would like to use it.

I think a space appeared when copying or the translator inserted it ๐Ÿ™‚

Because value on gpin is "0" not null.

As I understand it, there are no restrictions and should work. Thanks, I'll check the wires and commands.

An alternative is to use G32 and in bed.g put:
M561 ; clear any bed transform
      G29 S1 ; load current heightmap.csv
if result > 1 ; if no heightmap.csv, make one.

@t3p3tony said in Steppers with Brakes:

releasing all the breaks at once

Yes releasing all the breaks at once will be good.

But I'm afraid for example, when idle, steepers may off by timeout. Or, you might not notice that the steppers' shutdown command will be added by the slicer.

Therefore it will be fine if this option will be in the firmware!

Hi, the expansion breakout board is not directly compatible with 1st generation Duets (0.6, 0.8.5) only with second generation Duets (WiFi, Ethernet).

You can connect the pins individually for step, dir and enable between the 0.8.5 header and the expansion breakout header, either using jumper leads or by making up a custom IDC terminated ribbon cable.

The pinout for the 0.8.5 is on the RepRap wiki:
      http://www.reprap.org/wiki/Duet_pinout

And the expansion header pinout on the expansion breakout board is shown on the 2nd generation Duet wiring diagram:
