      @OwenD said in Modified Ender 3 V2 - Stripes on the side of the print:

      it never realised the promise of higher print speeds on the bed slinger for me.

      That's why I said it wouldn't hurt to use a direct drive on a bed slinger. Their speed limitter is the heavy bed. Especially with a halfling NEMA17 motor on the Y-axis.

      @dc42 I will update the firmware right away. Been a while sinse I updated last.

      Thanks alot for the explanation. You were 100% right! I was a bit too quick to overlook that 🤠

      It triggered right away when I reduced the H parameter.

      Thanks again 🙂

      @droftarts Aha, I see.

      The probe did trigger. The bed kept moving until it hit the probe no matter how far down it was. It did not stop at the bottom, it kept on going and grinding the motors.

      @dc42 I have it working now, but yes, they sure did! Been a while sinse I sat up the first one. It has a LCD display where you can dial in the voltage and then adjust it with the voltage pot. I might have done something wrong, but I ended up with 5V on the display as output when I actually reached 12V output while adjusting the voltage adjustment pot.

      Thanks though!

      Back to the drawingboard! Seems like im having the exact same issues with the dimensions when I printed the hexagon. The only change I made was swapping out the filament.

      I saw that the belt seem to have the same angle as the old parts. I tried to import the parts into fusion to see how they lined up:
      0891d580-ef14-4545-9eb8-5f8c67598b55-image.png

      It does not look like the parts are fully lined up. If you look at the right side of the picture you can see the outline of the hole the belt goes into. The line is going from the top of that hole to a bit over center on the idler. Is this enough to make up the problems im having? I just find it weird how nobody else with the design have pointed it out 😕

      Is there a way I can verify that it actually is the belt doing it? If I loosen one belt and tighten the other, and vice versa I should see some changes on the dimensions depending on which belt is tight/loose?

      I suspect there is an error in your homing files, so please post homez.g and homeall.g. Are you using the bltouch for Z homing, or a separate endstop switch?

      @dc42:

      I suggest you work through https://duet3d.com/wiki/Test_and_calibrate_the_Z_probe. If you can't get Z movement to stop when the probe is triggered while executing G30, that points to insufficient output from the probe. I think instead recently that someone had to change a resistor value. You could also try using P1 in the M558 command and a low threshold such as P250 in the G31 command.

      I have checked out the test and calibration page you linked, and it all seems to work as intended - except that the trigger point is not beeing picked up. The pin is getting pushed down as soon as its triggered and repeats. I did try out P1 too without any success.

      I havent changed any wiring or done any editing in the configs from the last point it was working, all I did was update the firmware. If the firmware did not do any changes regarding this, I guess its safe to say the sensor is broken? Can't say I understand how though..

      Try changing X0 to X1.0 in that command.

      Can't belive I missed that after calculating the values and reading the wiki o.o

      Thanks!

      @dc42:

      The G92 Z command should only be used if you are homing with a Z-min endstop switch. The Z parameter should be the distance between the nozzle and the bed at which the bed stops when the G1 S1 Z-xxx command in homez.g or homeall.g is executed. You must use the same value in homeall.g and homez.g, unless homeall.g calls homez.g to do Z homing.

      Cheers, got it all working now!

      Alright, so it looks like it was an issue with the 3DTouch. I bought a BLTouch and got it installed today. So far no steps have been skipped!
