Motor current is set by the M906 command, normally in config.g.

@pro3d you can also use PT100 or thermocouple daughter boards, or CAN-connected expansion boards to connect additional temperature sensors.

@deckingman Thank you! This is the sort of advice I was looking for. Outside of Arduino and Duet I'm not very knowledgeable on different controllers and how to use them together.

To be specific I want to take the pressure reading of a vessel so I can raise, lower, and release said pressure via a controlled valve connected to an airline. The valve is just open and close so easy to use with GPIO pins, but need the reading to drive it of course.

Verify the wiring for Driver 4. It thinks the phases may be disconnected.

@phaedrux I had no idea that dozuki did that. And Duet's isn't the only group I use that uses it.

The answer: I had created a retraction tower earlier. The "alter Gcode" plugin was still active even though it was not visible, and was increasing my retraction distance every 20 layers.

There are many offers like these.

But, especially for relays applicable to mains voltages with high currents, I don't know of any.

For the diode, use a 1N4148 or BAT48. Some SSRs are equipped with a diode, some are not. If you are in doubt, provide one.

Pulling it through GND and putting the positive terminal on the 5V pin did fix it though! Thank you!

Finished! 🙂 We solved our Problem with the Homing. The Problem was the Wire of the Stepper. We had to shield them. Now the Homing does its Job as well!

@infiniteloop I can't emphasize reading the documentation enough as you did. It may sometimes be terse but I prefer that to flowery nonsense. At times I resort to spelunking in the source code, but that is if I really want to know some intricate detail beyond just getting it to work. But the source code is an invaluable resource at times.

I did just realize that I could solve this by just directly connecting the 12V PSU to the 12V physical relay. That would be simple, but it would also mean that if the SSR controlling my 12V PSU were to fail closed it would close the relay contact and put power on the contacts for the SSR controlling the heated bed. It's highly unlikely they would fail at the same time, but I'd like to find a solution where the SSR controlling the bed heater can only get power on its contacts if the Duet thinks the printer should be on.
