@jay_s_uk Thanks, that's just what was needed. I had got caught up in the weeds of the wiki and never read the release notes for that release. I already had apparmor installed and configured, must have missed the 'apt install duetpimanagementplugin' bit.
This all looks to be working perfectly now, many thanks.

The heater warnings can't be "fixed" as it's more informational than an error.

As you have already installed 3.5.0-rc3 from the package server, yes you can. However, to get the full fix you will need a DSF update too. We expect to release rc4 very soon.

Try recovering your board with a firmware build from Duet3D using Fallback method #2 https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/RepRapFirmware/Updating_firmware#fallback-procedure-2 and then post the output of yout firmware build run here using the </> button to keep the terminal formatting.

@silverpoint In the meantime please share your config.g because I don't think DCS should fail to connect to RRF even if DSF cannot handle certain axis letters yet. You can email it to christian@duet3d.com as well if you don't want to make it public.

I may have fixed this already. I noticed in the log the SPI buffer warning. I increased the SPI buffer in raspbian to 8192 and now it seems to be working. But, my config must be totally broken in this version as I can't seem to power on my PSU anymore due to no PS_ON port defined. Off I go down the rabbit hole. 🙂

edit: config fixed by changing M80 to M80 C"pson"

I am still getting the error about the plug in service not running....
But again will keep looking for a fix for this.

@racitup It turns out I had deployprobe.g and retractprobe.g in sys which was causing the issue.

v1.26.1 (2.05.1) now appears to be working okay.

@oliof Thanks for your help but I'm going to stick with 3.4.6 for now and try to simplify and rewrite my macros at a latter time.

@chrishamm The new config tool is still letting me choose stealthchop when Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet/SBC is selected as board type. Maestro does support stealthchop and spreadcycle.
