      Thanks for the information, I will buy the diode and solder it, I hope this will solve the problem.

      Allright, bridging the Top Pin (NC on the PCB) to the bottom one (io3.in) did the trick.

      I had to invert the signal but other than that no changes were necessary on my firmware configuration.

      For future reference and anyone who is trying to do something similar:

      M950 J1 C"!^100.io3.in" ; Tool1 docking detection GPIO setup

      Is the command I use now.

      @heki said in Duet 3 Tool Board not resetting?:

      @dc42 Thanks for the reply, I figured because the LED is continuously blinking, the "board is running but does not have CAN communication with the main board". But shouldn't it momentarily stop blinking when it's being reset?

      To reset the board to default settings, have to power up the board while holding both buttons down.

      When you power up a Duet system, the LED on the tool board should blink rapidly at first, then slow down to match the blinking on the main board.

      The realTime field will be zero until you connect to the Duet from DWC, at which time DWC sends the current time to the Duet. Until then, the Duet doesn't know the time.

      @BeosDoc yes. Using meta code.
      So when the switch is triggered, the code would then check if that particular tool is active.

      @wifibeagle that can easily be incorporated though as endstops can be changed to triggers at the beginning of a job.
      Or you can permanently have them set up as triggers and change them to endstops at the start of the homing sequence and then put them back as triggers

      I don't have any particular complain about the connectors, I'm pretty easy going on that regard. The very small beige ones are tedious to crimp but fortunately I've purchased the wire-kit.

      I know it's already pretty small but what I would love is for it to be with one side 40mm max, even sacrificing a connector (or using a smaller one) or dropping the switches.

      I'm doing a magnetic toolchange with very small heads and I'm having troubles positioning the toolboard (I'm actually thinking of using an expansion 3HC instead of the toolboard).
