      @dc42
Each time it happened I saw a line that said it didn't collect any accelerometer data.
However in some cases there was some data, but also a heap of random code.
Your theory on picking up previous data sounds entirely feasible.
As I said, when I re-seated all the connectors on the headers it stopped.

      A Former User?

@pkos said in [Feature request] Print file sorting options:

@LB actually... that would also work! 😉 Just a single button that reads - print last uploaded file. It doesn't give you the option of seeing more files, but this would cover the most common use case.

It was the idea of @phaedrux not mine, also I can understand the two of you and would also agree that it could be helpful for my avarage usecase... 😉
-> But I guess that would also need some sort in the background because how would it know what is the latest uploaded file...?
Question that comes up my mind - could the latest uploaded file:
      A) be written in some "cloaked" area
      B) tagged (?)
to have the panelDue read that info "lightning"-fast?

(Already a "fan-boy" of the sort-setting in the options-tab but still have fun playing with your idea...)

      Just a short update.

My printer is back online, I've been printing happily for the last two days on 3.2.2.

DHT works perfectly fine, no interruptions in printing, no skipped layers, printer comes on immediately.

I'd say all problems are solved! 🙂

Thank you so very much for your help @dc42.

I'll keep monitoring and tinkering with the firmware more, but I expect it to work fine.

So this will be a small necro of the thread, but I believe I figured out what is causing the problem.

To be clear - my comparison is between a Mac and a regular Windows 10 PC.

The problem is the Eset Smart Security on the Mac, but only if you use ethernet. If you switch to Wifi - problem is gone. On Windows - also with Eset - the problem never exists.

Fortunately, with more recent firmwares for the Duet - the printer will no longer reboot midprint if I try to connect to it, but it will keep disconnecting all the time.

The workaround for the rebooting is to disable Web protection in Eset when working with Duets (and this happens on all my duet boards and different versions of DWC (even the newest one).

So far so good. Printer has been printing happily over the past couple days.
Today, the board got a bit hotter (about 52C on main board), but no interruptions observed. It kept printing.

The one thing I would love right now is to be able to have fans hooked up to the expansion board react to a temp sensor on the main board, but I understand that will come in the future.

@pkos If it's the 10mm Noctua it has a lower static pressure rating, meaning that in a constricted flow situation it will perform worse. The 20mm Noctua has a higher static pressure and works better in such situations as blowing into a heatsink fins.

One way to improve the performance of the 10mm fan in this situation would be to flip it around so that it's sucking air out of the heat sink fin area rather than trying to blow in. By creating suction it will bring in fresh air from anywhere it can in the heat sink which can really help in such a tightly packed area.

Regardless, even if the performance of the heat sink cooling is worse, it may not be enough to actually have an impact. If you notice increased stringing after long prints then you may have an issue. If you're printing in an enclosed or semi enclosed build volume you may want to consider a different fan. But otherwise, I think it will be fine.
