@ViralTinker RepRapFirmware supports Input Shaping, which allows for some resonance compensation - helping to reduce or eliminate print artifacts like 'ringing'

The Accelerometer is used to characterize what frequencies excite your 3D printer, helping to identify which frequency and input shaper to select to reduce 'ringing'. Entirely optional to implement for a Stratasys retrofit.

@MightyRaith my best guess is that you have a bad crimp connection in either the ground pin, the 5V pin or the control pin.

Which firmware version are you using on the Duet 3 Mini? There was a startup timing issue that affected some BLTouch devices attached to Duet Maestro boards, which was fixed in a recent firmware version (3.4 AFAIR). It might possibly affect Duet 3 Mini too although we had no reports of that.

Omg, I can’t believe it. I somehow managed to plug in EXP2 into the Duet 3 Mini 5+ reversed (it’s dark back there) and I also didn’t think I needed the M150 command. Fixed those and now it works.

@knutselsmurf there is no easy fix, because you need two separate UARTs to drive the PanelDue and the Neopixel board, and the only user-accessible UART on Duet WiFi is the one connected to the PanelDue port.

@dc42 I purchased MLX90614 sensors for experimentation. Maybe you have a beta version of the RRF software to try to connect?

@topenga If you are in SBC mode (attached RPi), use apt update/upgrade. In standalone mode just upload the web interface ZIP file from here or here.

@zapta the example I linked to is for use where Z hasn't been homed.
and the docks typically have a little lip to stop the probe dropping out although its still a possibility if held upside down at the right angle.

I will take the fix that I implemented in RRF for the Maestro and port it to the Duet WiFi/Ethernet build.
