I have a Google On Hub (the TP Link version)

I have tried assigning an ip address to it multiple times with no success. I don't understand though I have to plug my duet into pronterface and see the duet has a different ip address. That is due to the router? I don't see how that is possible since I set an ip address to it.

Fixed it, I forgot to install a set screw in the y axis motor, fixed it, and i'm waiting for a print to confirm that was the problem

I don't know how the seemecnc carriages are constructed. On most delta printer designs i have seen, the carriages are screwed on to the sliders or trucks; so if the mounting holes on the carriages are a little oversized then you can rotate the carriages on the sliders or trucks a little before tightening the screws.

Perhaps you should ask for suggestions on the seemecnc forum.

Another option is to put a R-C filter in series with the fan so that the PWM gets smoothed out and you drive the fan with a variable voltage. Connect a resistor of between10 and about 200 ohms between the Duet fan output and the fan. Also connect a capacitor of at least 100uF in parallel with the motor.

I find it very hard to believe that the same motor works with RAMBO. The RAMBO board has a flyback diode in parallel with the fan output, but apart from that it has nothing else that would make a difference.

Standard Arduino PWM frequency is about 490Hz, but I don't know whether Marlin uses that or alters it.

The reason I warn about retraction is that when you use a large amount of pressure advance, the firmware will start retracting before the end of a printing move that slows to a low speed at the end. When this is followed by a slicer-commanded retraction prior to a travel move, this can result in too much totaL retraction for all-metal hot ends, causing a jam. But if you don't reach this point, then I don't think you need to treat retraction as another variable in your tests.

I haven't looked into tmc2660 but have skimmed the datasheet for tmc2100 and there are a lot of combinations. Maybe only a limited number of modes are coded into the firmware for spi comms with the drivers?

I'm using the latest 1.17 firmware, I redid the pid autotune few days ago with my e3d 24v 40W and S270
I also had errors with P0.4 and P0.3, in the end I redid it without any P param it worked ok (no more warning, temp control ok)

That seems weird, the documentation says that it defaults to 0.5 for 1.17 which should be worse. Almost sounds like a bug ?

You probably won't get more than 10C overshoot assuming you have the correct voltage heater for your power supply. I suggest you choose a target temperature that you commonly print at.

Thank you David, I didn't realise there were separate machine / extruder commands for absolute / relative positioning.

I'll switch over to relative extrusion when Cura starts supporting it and in the meantime I'll litter the header and footer G-Code with M83 / M82 where required.

Looks like there is no 3.3V supply. I suggest you ask for a replacement board. Are any of the ICs getting hot?

I occasionally take the sd card out and back it up, but for any small changes I just comment out the previous settings and insert new ones using the editor on the web interface. You can add a date to the changes as a comment, and then tidy away old settings once you've determined the new ones are an improvement.

A "backup sd config" option on web interface would be very useful.

If you press the erase button and then reset button, you should be able to re-flash the firmware. This would then cause the PanelDue to prompt you for the touch screen calibration before it does anything else.

You might be able to force this by just unplugging the LCD from the 40-pin section PanelDue controller board and then plugging it back in, but not I'm sure.
