      @Hergonoway The Z hop distance is so small that even acceleration barely factors into it.

      What kind of a Z axis do you have that 4000 is even usable?

      Oh so I'm currently running my 12v fan at 24v? I have no buck converters connected and am using a 24v psu. Guess I'll do the first method since I do have a buck.

      @shadowx

      Well you can always put a 1 or 2mm cover since its flat against the 2040, it's a good idea I'll add the stl. (EDIT : I've added a lid to the project)

      Everything depends of how you wire everything right like the rest of the printer.

      Pg7 connexion cancel movement if you pull the wire and outlet is fixed on the frame.

      For my part, printer's frame is link to ground and wires are solder to the outlet and cover with shrinkable tube. Exposed part are then finished with nail polish. Connection with the breakout cable are made with a 3 way nylon terminal block within wires crimped with insulated connector.

      Almost 🙂 sorry for my awfully dense explanation (I'm French)

      White led draw 60mA on 1/6 of a meter (on a strip of 10 led out of 60) so we can say 360mA per meter and as you understood each color draw 1/3 of that so 120mA per color per meter.

      So I'll stick with my initial choice with your recommendation about resistor. I'll post a picture once done 😄

      Thanks again!

      Note : If you make terrible bridges just add support, but only for the bottom plane, groove slots are made with a 45 degrees angle so no bridge are required since it's not an extrem overhang.

      @dc42:

      I agree that it would be nice to be able to configure the wifi parameters completely through PanelDue. In the meantime, if you just want to reconnect to your access point, you can do that by sending M552 S1 from the touch keyboard.

      I'll add another macro for "M552 S1" good to know.

      Yeah that looks good, although you will have more board cooling than you need! 😉

      Yeah the point here is to put a silent fan at low rpm to keep good CFM, and because it's cool and easy to find 🙂

      Since there space in the box I'm currently designing a stack up piece in order to add buck converter in the box.

      @T3P3Tony:

      Using M500 / M501 to write to config-override.g (like older firmware used to write certain settings to EEPROM) is personal taste. Originally i did not like the idea as I prefered to edit config.g with the new settings. Recently I have started to use it a lot as its just so easy to type M500 after I have done delta calibration.

      Same here, I think m500/501 is a good feature when you change often of nozzle, in my case I swap to Volcano or tungsten nozzle often, it's more convenient to work without rebooting the board after modifying config.g. But it's personnal taste.

      If it's working fine then all good. It was not that they all failed, just that we had to reject too many in testing/ had too many returns.

      The positive fan wires are commoned, and the negative ones are switched as required. So it's the positive fan wires that you can replace by a single wire. No need to split it again at the Duet, the fan current is low so it can all come from just one of the fan connectors.

      @dc42:

      See the "Manual Calibration" sectoin at the end of https://duet3d.com/wiki/Calibrating_a_delta_printer. You will need to allow movement below where the printer thinks Z=0 initially, which you can do using M208, for example M208 S1 Z=3 will allow movement down to -3mm.

      Alternatively, install experimental firmware 1.19beta7 (important: see https://duet3d.com/wiki/DuetWiFiFirmware_1.19beta if your board is a Duet WiFi), because that version has a manual calibration facility built in. To use it, set up your bed.g file as normal and select Z probe type 0 (P0) in your M558 command, Then run G32 and follow the prompts in the console of DWC or PanelDue or your USB host program. It's a bit clunky to use until additional support for it has been added to DWC and PanelDue, which should happen during next week.

      I'll look into the Esher 3D mentioned in the bottom section , will it work even if the bed is not yet coplanar ?

      For manual calibration tools available in the beta I'll wait for the DWC version then, thanks !
