1.8 has 200 steps per revolution and 0.9 has 400 per rev.

Double your M92 for the axis you are installing these.

M92 X80 Y80 Z80 would go to M92 X160 Y160 Z160 for a delta.

Ok, I set it to 32 steps for x/y/z, homed, and then re-ran my test. I am seeing results smaller than a full step now. Perhaps I'd done something wrong in my past tests, it's been a while since I tried that.

I am not as knowlegable as most of these guys but I am a fast study and love taking on projects that push the envelope and look for ways to inprove overall design. So I plan on producing one of these mecaduino units and eventually a Project Escher type printer as well. But as always it will be as funds become available

While copying the entire contents to my PC, Windows threw this error on the file dwc.js.gz:

Error 0x80070570: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.

I then proceeded according to your instructions and the DWC now seems to be working perfectly.

The easiest way to reboot the Duet is to use the Emergency Stop button. Or you can send M999 from the Gcode Console.

Also I do not know if it is necasssry but i made sure mesh bed compensation was disabled prior to rehoming and prior to each adjustment. Depending on how the compensation works not doing so could leave you scratching your head on why things are so off.

( you wont need to disable it to rehome once everything is level and you are happy with the mesh compensation results)

Yes, please do tell, as it turns out I have been experiencing this behavior for some time now but just side step it by calling up the web control via an iPad I've always got right next to the machine. It'd be great to hear how you resolved this.

BTW, i successfully finished my 1st large scale print yesterday. at 47+ hours and almost a foot and a half tall. Very cool and could not have done it without you help.

The two replies above are different solutions, and both should be workable. If you use the second one of treating your homing switch as a Z probe, you will need to connect it to the E0 endstop connector instead of the Z endstop connector.

You probably have a M116 command in your tpost#.g files, which will wait for all temperatures including the bed. I suggest you add a P parameter to wait just for that tool to reach temperature. For example, in tpost0.g use command M116 P0 instead of just M116.

Thank you! I will be upgrading my second printer soon. It has the duplication mode. I look forward to trying this. I didn't realize you could assign multiple heaters and extruders to the same tool. That is genius.

Reduce the trigger height in the G31 Z parameter. You can use baby stepping to experiment with how much to adjust the nozzle height.
