There is a GSoC project for 3MF support for Slic3r

Actually I take some of that back! It still seems like it is taking extremely course steps, so much so that the table and build plate are vibrating. If you look close the build plate you can see it. The belts and fasteners are tight yet it is cogging badly at slow speeds. Is there a way to access the stepper drivers directly to tune them? I will try to post a video in a bit.

I just spent the better part of the afternoon changing out the entire bed assembly from a 200 x 200 to a 320 x 250 Borosilicate glass plate with just the heating unit underneath getting ready to test in a few minutes

You probably have a M116 command in your tpost#.g files, which will wait for all temperatures including the bed. I suggest you add a P parameter to wait just for that tool to reach temperature. For example, in tpost0.g use command M116 P0 instead of just M116.

The filament movement part of this request is in hand with a filament sensor we are working on. It obviously requires more hardware as well as firmware.

Filament diameter is rather a specialist requirement because good quality filament is very consistent these days. It mainly the guys who are rolling their own filament who need it.

I did revert both. I got sick of trying so I just reverted back to day 1 and started over. Back in business now.

Well Tom pointed out that I have a jumper in the wrong position. I don't remember moving it but maybe at 2am who knows. It is in the 5V position not 3.3, I do remember checking it but apparently I did not read down far enough to see step 4 about the 3.3V for 7" screen only the 5V power requirements in the Specs so I assumed it was good and never moved it. Question is what did I fry the IC chip? If that's all I will just fix it.

I had this happens when I accidentally uploaded an STL rather than a GCODE file.

"Bossa Port" is a good thing, that means the board is ready to accept firmware.

Away from the computer at the moment, but it looks like you have the wrong board selected in SAM-BA. Should be AT91SAM4E8-EK.
