You can configure S3D for circular beds. In the GCode tab set Machine Type to Delta.

So…just as an update here, I moved to 1.21RC5 and the crashes got less frequent, but were still happening occasionally. Then I finally remembered to pickup a new network cable, and it's been stable for 48 hours now. So....fixed, I think!

You can't print an STL file directly, you need to slice it first and then upload and print the .gcode file that the slicer generates.

There is no firmware facility for doing that at present, but it's something we are looking at for the future.

Using 4 screws to level the bed is a bad idea unless the bed is floppy (which is of course also a bad thing). Three points define a plane.

I'm not even sure which one to start modifying, as far as I know the Margforge printer uses this design but with one X gantry, I'm not sure what the kinematics is called tough.

I'm experiencing the same issue. It seems to be resolved…... correct? If so, what firmware should I install?

I'm using my old Fluke 75 from 1995 and you can't zero the leads out, so it's reading .7-.8 on a short and about 1.2 on the bed. So, it's anyone's guess what it really is.

What I decided on was to buy a 12v power supply and external MOSFET.

I plan on testing with the 12v cranked up to max and with my spare 24v lowered as far as it will go.

I'm not a fan of either of these options really because it's adding components onto my frame, but I'll be able to print.

I tried it about a week ago using David's guide and instructions and it worked OK for me then…........... Just double checked and it was 15th March so 4 days ago.

Marlin uses mm/sec as the jerk units. RRF uses mm/min for all speeds.

A jerk of 100mm/min means that a sudden change in speed is allowed as long as it is on more than 100mm/min. There are a few reasons for allowing nonzero jerk:

XY jerk allows the head to move at constant speed when it it printing a circle that is approximated by line segments; Z jerk allows the X axis to change speed when you use mesh bed compensation and the head crosses a grid line of the mesh; E jerk is needed when using pressure advance, and to handle buggy slicers that fail to maintain a constant extrusion rate when they should do.

If you are homing Z using the Z probe, then if you home again after running mesh bed compensation, homing shouldn't affect the Z height, assuming the Z probe triggers at a consistent height. The difficulty comes when you use an endstop switch for Z homing,
