It seems to be solved. I just tried to connect each pin of the duet marked "used" (with dupont connectors), according to the wiring scheme , to my Raspeberry and they communicate. So I freed the GPIO 3.

That's a good idea, since the tripod (as I envision it) has it's own non-linear kinematics?
How often will you need these servos? Does your bed misalign so frequently, that it's worth the efford?
My bed rests on three ballscrews and I haven't had to touch their adjustment since day 1.

Over time the bed does move as it's just cantilevered from the rails at the back of the printer. It's not much in terms of bed adhesion, it's more about ensuring part parallelism.

At times I stack and glue several prints to build model aircraft and it adds up.

I didn't want to print a raft as the glass smooth surface is great for gluing.

TBH it's all a mental experiment at the moment. As I rebuild it with my new Duet 3 mini I'm going to make some hardware changes and this is an option on the list.

Careful, that link actually doesn't apply to the Duet3.

It works for my Duet3 6HC without major issues. The only piece of information missing is to pull the SBC jumpers.

Yeah you're right. Every time I look at the schematic, I get a headache.
The description for the PS_ON header says...

3-pin KK labelled PS_ON: open drain mosfet output for controlling an ATX-style power supply or a SSR. The +5V pin can also be used to provide external 5V power. A small amount of 5V power can be drawn from this pin (through an internal 220 ohm resistor), so that the control terminals of an SSR can be connected directly between the +5V and PS_ON pins. Note: on the v0.5 board this connector is rotated 180 degrees compared to the intended orientation on later version boards.

It doesn't actually say that you can PROVIDE power via that header.

The schematic does show that you can input 5V from that header but if you try to draw 5V from it, it goes through the 220ohm resistor.

The power options do seem to be spread out.

@elmoret definitely a clone. Fuses are wrong, too.

@aprz, ir does sound as though that tool board has a faulty or incompletely-soldered stepper driver. Please ask your supplier to replace it under warranty, referring to this reply as authorization.

@dc42 Thank you, we will try this way.

We could solve it splitting the power supply from Duet and RPI and connecting thru USB to Duet but mantainig the GPIO flat cable, removing the jumper in the middle.

This way we got access DWC (GPIO) and RS (USB) and control the printer indistinctly from any of enviroments.

Ideally would be to use same GPIO for both but we need to learn how to.

We're still far form completion this project, but it seems promising.

Thank you very much. I am in Canada. I would not be normally concerned about this in any consumer electronics, but I have seen and measured how hot the TMC drivers normally run and over time I think it could be a potential reliability issue (I'm an engineer)...

Oh, and no need to apologise, I know quite well this is an imperfect world!

I have the same display. Its very nice. But it definitely needs a case or at least a good back cover. It's on my list to make. But if someone here beats me to it or finds one in the wild. Post a link.

I replace the M117 with a echo "Trigger 3", and now each button press and equals a messages on the console.

Are the Z motors using the dual socket Z driver on the Duet2? Or are you using 2 independent drivers?

It's possible your z motors are getting out of sync and causing some tilt. If you have a spare driver you can use a driver for each motor and do tilt correction.

A trigger height of 4+mm on a bltouch is oddly large as well. When installed as directly by antclabs the trigger height should be ~2mm.

M950 F0 C"fan1" Q500

And

M950 F0 C"fan2" Q500

To map outputs 1 and 2 to F0 alternately, neither of which worked at the time. Currently after erasing and re-flashing the 1.04 board, I am using...

M950 F0 C"fan2" Q500, at line 59, which is working to control a fan plugged into PWM header 2.

Thanks for all inputs. I ordered These. Supply voltage 3-6V and with LM393. Not the cheapest ones but located in Europe (shipping from China takes forever nowadays). I hope they will work. 🤔
