Regarding the t-glase: I replied on June 9th with inventory information and options on how to proceed including changing color or cancelling the backordered color, but have not heard back. Unfortunately the value of the backordered t-glase is less than half of the value of the parts you're looking to exchange, so holding the filament until the parts are returned wouldn't work.

You can probe each point 3 times and use just the last result by repeating each of the G30 commands 3 times in total. Whenever you probe with G30 with a particular P parameter (point number), it overwrites any previous reading with the same point number.

If you connect two stepper motors in parallel as RAMPS does, each one gets half of the current. So you need to set the current to double in order to get the usual torque - but that may well be more than the driver can supply without overheating.

If you connect them in series instead as the Duet does for the Z motor connectors, both get the full current. But you need double the voltage available to achieve that current. Typical stepper motors used in 3D printers are rated at between 1.5A and 2A, and at low speeds drop about 3V. So even with 2 in series, the voltage drop at low speeds is only about 6V, and a 12V supply is plenty to drive them.

Maybe if the min value was say 3 mA then no one else would make this mistake.

On a delta, I don't allow ordinary moves before the printer has been homed. I've considered adding this restriction to other printer geometries, but I am not sure whether all users would like it. On a Cartesian printer, users may wish to jog the axes before homing. What do other users think?

I would hate it if I could not jog axis when not homed…. think of an estop event where the IR probe failed to trigger (happened to me yesterday) I have an optical endstop located just above which triggers an estop event but I then need to jog the bed back down before I can home the machine. There are other times when I jog around when not homed as well and love the estop feature that has saved my butt a couple of times 🙂

If you can disable it in firmware yes. I have to use this all the time with my printer cause I'm constantly making changes to parts and have to recalibrate axis dimensions.

Also have you paused and just gone a while without probing after the pause…. because it could be possible that we just dont see the condition until attempting to probe after

I have a way but it might be hard with your setup. Move your z to the pre leveled. Enable the motor motors your stepper should be locked pull to a full step loosen your coupler on your z height assuming you only have one Z acme shaft and then tighten your set screw. I have tried this before while calibration diagnosing but after that I didn't really have a use for it.

I have successfully moved forward with this, by telling the printer where 0 is i.e. 0 is at the endstop

You could use some CSS to make it floating in the bottom right corner of the browser and increase its size a little that way it is usable regardless of how far down you are

No offence taken. The point I was making is that an object in motion will maintain it's speed without any additional force being applied. In the case of an orbiting satellite, gravity and centrifugal forces balance each other out so it maintains it's orbit. Or in the case of an elliptical orbit, there can be two or more gravitational forces being applied, so the forces acting on it vary. The same principal applies though - that is to say, it will maintain it's motion, whether that be in straight line, circular or elliptical, without any additional force being applied and it takes very little force to move it slightly, but a great deal more force to accelerate the object out orbit.

I may tinker with this idea in OpenSCAD.

Something like a small triangular carriage with three arms around the points of the triangle using a mag-ball setup.

It's adding 1/3 more weight, but maybe it would make the effector more stable at higher speeds?

Why can you not rename the file extension in windows? (If it's because you can not see the extension, you can change that – depending on your version of windows it will be found in different places, but the "folder options" settings are what you are looking for.)
