Update . Just re flashed everything from scratch and now appears to work! Panic over

A PanelDue + 4.3" screen + printed enclosure is approx. 80mm high and 145mm wide.

Which Duet are/will you be using? If it's a Duet 3 Mini then you can use a Mnii 12864 display.

Almost 2 years ago, so I don't remember details. You can interface them directly, in other words no components needed between them. I remember piecing everything together through Google and an evening.

@LB The space issue I mention is space on the display and not storage -> since PanelDue is a touch screen, each button and action needs enough space to ensure you don't touch the wrong button. It also feature only a 800x480 pixel display (5i and 7i versions).

With the current layout PanelDue only have space to display 3 estimations

A print job that was simulated, have its estimated time saved to the gcode file itself specifically to prevent having to simulate them again.

I my case it turned out to be a problem with the 5V regulator on the Duet 3 that I was powering the PanelDue from. It wasn't putting out a steady 5V when first turned on.

@Phaedrux Yes, it was a bit of a gamble but seems the case. I've a week off work soon so hope to get my other printer converted over to Duet then.

I think this only happens when cancelling a print via PanelDue and starting a new one.

@wilriker Ah, OK. Not having a heated chamber I've never seen that icon before. I didn't actually catch that it was a little heated box.

@ByteSized Before PanelDueFirmware 3.2.0 there only was the dimming function. 3.2.0 added a screensaver. The former will reduce the brightness of your display to 1/8 of your regular setting - depending on how dim your display already is set this will effectively disable the backlight.
The screensaver will respect that dimming setting. If the screen is already dimmed (depending on the setting for dimming) it will just switch to the screensaver screen. Otherwise it will dim to 1/4 of the regular display brightness - this was done to further save the screen from wearing out and since there is no useful information displayed anyway the screen can be dimmed.

I hope this explains what you experienced.

@garyd9 Thanks for reporting. Indeed you are correct that requestedValue is supposed to be shown. I'll fix it in the next version.
