Yes DWC2.0.7 onward works with 2.05.1

DWC1 is no longer being developed.

Which why, way up at the top of this discussion, I was the first person to start describing (helping) how to do that.

It can be reproduced even with newest 2.1.8. Load the page, force reload (ctrl+f5), type any command in the input field and press the button. Nothing happens. Press again and it sends, and seems to work untill a new force reload.

In the source there is a comment "// FIXME There must be a better solution than this", so I guess chrishamm is aware.

@bearer I don't use the filament loading stuff in DWC. The workflow for it doesn't work well with my flow.

M104 is deprecated but still widely used by slicers. It is better to make the slicer generate G10 Pnnn Snnn instead. Since M104 waits for the pending moves to finish before it is processed, DWC may not be updated until the machine has stopped moving. There is not much I can do about it.

That would be possible if the slicer tagged either all printing moves or sections of the GCode file with the move type (perimeter, external perimeter, infill, top infill etc.). I am not sure whether any slicers currently do this consistently.

Were you able to get the firmware updated? If you can reliably get into the DWC you may need to update up through an intermediate release like 2.02 2.03 2.04 that has the IAP file for the maestro. If you try and update without the file it should tell you which you need.

Alternatively you could use the USB firmware flash procedure to update the firmware directly to your chosen release. You'll still need to have the proper IAP file present on the card for future updates via the normal DWC upload procedure.
