It comprises of 2 boards. One is docked - this has the microswitch and a pair of magnets. It gets collected when required.
The other would sit where the BLT used to sit. This has a pair of magnets, JST connector and optional Led if you want to bling it.
My last Euclid probe test gave me these results.
1.751, 1.759, 1.756, 1.756, 1.757.

Found these from the BLT
1.611,1.6, 1.607, 1.614, 1.595, 1.607,1.604,1.599,1.619,1.602

Greater fluctuation, IMO.
Also, the BLT case does not like heat, if you like printing ABS.

@phaedrux @fcwilt Got it, I can adopt this homing with two speeds, it might be useful since the machine is quite big, etc.

But I have good news, our team has been working here since Friday trying to find the problem and we did it. The y-axis rods were slightly bent, which made the X-axis twist,
which consequently changed the distance between the nozzle and the Z-Probe along the X axis. Before, we had no problems with this slight misalignment because we didn't use a Z-Probe, and that's why it took us a while to check this alignment.

Finally, thank you very much for your help and attention, I learned several new things in the process. Case closed.

Hi all !
After the first enthusiasm I managed to make my printer work a little sustained and the limit of some materials come up.
Unfortunately the only thing that make those bars not valid for be used in an enclosed environment is the Delrin. This is a good material for lots of application , it versatility lies in the good resistance at friction and the possibility to be cnc milled very good. BUT with the heat the game change.
With Haydn make we made this experiment and unfortunately it didn't succeeded.
After long print in an enclosed system with a temp of 60 Celsius (i meant 20+ hours at print) , despite using the proper lubricant changed at each print (super-lube), the Delrin start to consume making the magnet inside the bar come to touch the metal ball , finally scratching it.
I have several other ball sets so now the evolution of this project is substitute the Delrin with some metal ones. I have to ask to friends with good lathe.
I'll let you know how to the stuffs will go...

@deckingman @T3P3Tony Thank you very much for your advices. I've done a M997 B1 firmware update on my 3HC and now the stepper torque is back to normal and I can continue my U axis construction. Thanks!!

Sticking with the flat strips/bands allows everything to be compatible with the E3D cable attachments etc., which is very convenient for building the tools and cable assemblies.

If you are not using E3D tools / toolchanger, then it makes no difference.

@piet to rule out a physical problem with the toolboard please do the following test:

Set the heater fault timeout to longer than it took the hotend to heat to 300 when plugged directly into the power supply, also allow a larger window. M570 H1 Pnnnn T30 where nnnn is time in seconds. Set the max temperature allowed to 310 to allow you to test all the way to 300: M143 H1 S310

Command the heater to 300 and measure the current drawn. At least until the temperature gets close to the setpoint it should be similar to that when plugged in directly.

Note these settings are not intended to be for normal use, just for this test.

There are losses in the system of course, along the wires to the toolboards. the mosfets on the toolboard and the wires to the heater but the system should be able to work with a 80W heater at 24V.

@visionary right, I meant this by saying the plane is tilted. I don't know if this is the correct word, but I mean, the XY coordinates of the plane are not the real world coordinates of xyz. Additionally: I think if one edge is lifted, the plane is rotated around the Z axis also a bit (if the two other edges are at different Z levels).

The progress for my project is slow but during this week I made some V-Slot gantry plates and belt clamps that fits the plate.
Edit: the clamp with teeth is bought.

Also adding some photos of the extrusion corners that my son helped me to fabricate and a photo of the frame assembled. The corners fits the extrusions very well with slide fit (near press fit). I also fabricated some longer M6 T-nuts. The frame is very rigid.

Why I choose to fabricate in aluminum with CNC machines? I want to learn Fusion 360 for design and manufacture (post processing CNC program) and I have access to machines.

no ... the first project was now with a german industrial adhesive manufacturer where we then processed their adhesives. The next step are very soft silicones ...
