I nsmed my printer frankenprinter as a joke almost all of the original parts are gone just the frame left
I found out that almost all of my settings needed tweeking after the d.w.c. change
I used the 10 pitch,, much faster ball screw.

Glad you got it figured out and the driver hasn't failed.

Probably 85C, but might be 105C depending on the exact MCU used.

It used to work perfectly, strangely now it's stopped. Now I read again this link that you posted to me.

The only independent subprocess on Duet 2 or Duet 3 in standalone mode is the daemon.g file. You could use that to control your LEDs. On Duet 3 with attached SBC, many things are possible using plugins.

Just for the sake of keeping this thread complete, I have placed an order with Cncsystems Ltd (UK) for some Metrol STE060PB's. They should be arriving by the end of May.

@msaeger sorry for the delay in response - we've been heads down making ppe mask bands for the last two weeks straight. I agree with @Phaedrux that the advantages come with larger machines. This 30x30cm machine we've prototyped is the smallest we are going to offer. Our next build will utilize a 40x40cm bed, and it's here and above that we believe the design will really begin to stand out. Sneak peak - the next build will also utilize IDEX.

Yes, I have, and it would add rigidity if done properly. This is normally how it should be done, however you need rather thick sections of EG surrounding the metal core before it really becomes beneficial. This was not really something feasible for this project as this would require more epoxy (expensive as hell), large molds, intricate work holding, thick sections of EG and is only practical for a 100% finished design. My design is still evolving quite a bit as I go along. (the build log in my bio might give you an idea)

I need an increased power with 50w, I think. I'll consider buying a 14.6A power supply.

@bondus yeah, 90% of what I print gets smothered in plastic filler and painted or is a no visible part for my kit car so that final bit of precision really isn't high priority for me.

Thinking about it I can't think of any parts I've printed that are "show" parts.

Plan is today is to do a test on a single wall cube to see if I can push the acceleration as high as possible (already know the max flow rate and therefore speed of my extruder) Will test near and far from the pivot as not 100% sure if the beam inertia will play a bigger part than the "wobble" from the flex at far reaches

Hi Bearer,
I fully intend to use the Pi4, but it as been recommended to run the Duet standalone as a test to see if the motor respond to commands this way.
I guess it will help narrow down why it is not working in its present setup of the Pi4 and the Duet.

We aren't sitting next to you, and can't see your printer. You need to provide more information about the issue for us to understand what's going on, then we can hopefully give you the correct answer quickly.
